XDaliClock is a Mac OS X and X Window System compatible digital clock that can also be used on PalmOS devices.
In addition to the unique effects, XDaliClock is also customizable with 12 or 24-hour modes and is capable of displaying the date when a mouse button is held down. If you're someone who likes transparency in their software, XDaliClock can make windows transparent utilizing overlay planes or the `shape' extension.
One thing to note is that out of the box, this program is quite network-intensive, which can lead to sluggishness. That said, it can be improved by using the "-memory high" option. As for inspiration, the program was inspired by the Alto/Macintosh programs, written by Steve Capps in the early eighties.
One new improvement to XDaliClock is the addition of it now doubling as a dashboard widget on Mac OS - this comes as an added bonus for those who frequently use the MacOS dashboard.
Overall, if you're looking for a visually appealing, customizable and unique digital clock software, XDaliClock is an excellent pick for MacOS X, X11 and PalmOS. Since it's not available on Windows, don't get your hopes up if that's what you're using.
