Quah is an exclusive CMS not meant for everybody.
One of the strengths of Quah CMS is its simplicity. The CMS has one configuration file and uses a MySQL database for storage. Additionally, it comes with a fully integrated Smarty feature that benefits the system's functionality. It is also highly modular and can be extended as necessary. The system has a unique "library" feature called "Types," which are loaded dynamically based on the system's requirements.
Caching through Smarty is integrated into the system, offering users more control over the modules they load. Additionally, the system is broken down into section groups that allow read access to specified user groups. Each section includes an "Action" that dictates the zero or more modules to load for a specific page. Each module has its own set of "Types" to be included.
The admin functions in the Quah CMS are quite basic but can be upgraded easily since they are modules under the system. The installation process is also relatively straightforward. Users need to move the extracted files to the desired directory, update the constants.inc.php file, and remove the install.php file.
Users have complete control over the system menu, which is fully configurable to include links at any level of the system. Bars can also be created with any number of Blits that output chunks of information, and they can be used to display RSS feeds or other small pieces of information on every page of the UI.
Overall, Quah CMS is a specialized CMS that offers advanced users a great deal of control over their content. While it's not the most polished CMS option available, it has all the features necessary to create a powerful content management system.
